Ceva sponsored rider Stuart Tinney just selected for the Rio Olympics
Equestrian Australia has just announced the final team chosen to represent Australia in Eventing.
Twelve combinations were sent to the Pre-Games staging camp in the UK and from these four
combinations have been chosen. Stuart Tinney on Pluto Mio is to be joined by Chris Burton (Santano
II), Sam Griffiths (Paulank Brockagh) and Shane Rose (CP Qualified). Stuart was part of the gold
medal winning team who represented Australia at Sydney 2000, Rio will be his third Olympic games.
At the Sydney Olympics Stuart riding Jeepster was the only Australian-based member of the team
and was ranked highest of all the riders in the event. Stuart also competed at the Athens Olympics in
2004. Stuart’s horse for Rio is Pluto Mio, a 17-year old grey gelding who was the best performing
Australian horse at the 2014 FEI World Equestrian Games.
Stuart has been sponsored by Ceva (formerly Nature Vet) since 2000. Stuart has advised us that Ceva
products have helped his horses to maintain “good joint health over many, many years of
competition.” Stuart commented about his Sydney Olympic horse Jeepster that “he retired when he
was 19 years old after doing the Athens Olympics as well and he was still sound when he retired…
fantastic products…kept him going for a long time.”
Ceva wishes Stuart and Pluto Mio all the best for the upcoming Games.
