Equine

Ceva Animal Health boasts widely recognised expertise in a number of therapeutic fields for equines: locomotion, reproduction, paraciticides.

Locomotion

When we speak of locomotion in equines, the key problem is the degenerative joint disease - arthritis that affects our equine athletes as they live longer.
For these animals, Ceva has developed specialities that are widely recognised for their efficacy: anti-inflammatory drugs (PENTOSAN GOLD®, PENTOSAN EQUINE, HALO®, GLUCOSAMINE) or chondroprotectors (JOINT GUARD®).

But the best example of locomotion disorders is that of lameness in horses.  It was only in 2001 that a genuine therapeutic solution was finally made available for these extreme disabilities with the European market launch of TILDREN® (tiludronate), the first veterinary bisphosphonate offering the possibility to treat bone-related lameness in horses.

Paraciticides

Australian horses can be affected by over 15 species of intestinal worm parasites, plus lung worms, skin parasites and bots. These parasites can cause a range of health problems for the horse including colic, diarrhoea (scours), anaemia (low red blood cell counts), ill thrift, stunting of growth in young animals, poor coat, poor performance, and even possibly sudden death.

Treating your horse with a reliable and effective worming program will help protect their health and keep your horse in top condition.

AMMO® Allwormer Paste for Horses contains two effective worming agents, Abamectin and Morantel Tartrate. The combined action of these two active ingredients allows Ammo to kill the major types of internal parasites.

AMMO® Rotational Wormer Paste for Horses is a palatable, broad spectrum benzimidazole (BZ) group anthelmintic with a wide safety margin for use in horses including foals, yearlings, stallions and pregnant mares.

Reproduction

There are many aspects of breeding in mares and fillies that need to be managed. Treatment with ReadyServe®, oral progestagen for Horses (altrenogest), assists regulation and management of the breeding cycle and pregnancy in mares and fillies and assists to optimise the most efficient use of the stallion.
